Social Responsibility

Social responsibility is an integral part of our corporate culture – and we feel this responsibility in our own region as well. That’s why we make donations to Sternentraum, a charity that fulfils the dreams and wishes of children and young people with life-limiting illnesses. With 25 volunteers, the charity provides support to the families of these children in the Rems-Murr area. The families pay nothing for this. The support begins at diagnosis and continues until the family no longer wishes to have it.

The focus is not just on the child who is ill but on the whole family, including any brothers or sisters, who very often get a raw deal in these situations. Sternentraum also offers support to children and young people when one of their parents is dying or has died. Many people lose their way when their spouse or partner for life dies.

Some of the money we donate is used to finance the establishment of groups that help families to mourn the death of children. A specially trained group leader enables the parents and siblings of children who have died to come together with like-minded people, talk and repeatedly draw new strength.
